5. Check the “Don’t detect my modem...” box and select the Next button.

Note: While Windows NT can automatically detect modems, we advise against

using this option as auto-detect feature may cause some multiprocessor

systems to lock up, and the modems may be installed in reverse order.

6. Select the appropriate manufacturer and model and selec the OK button. If

the correct manufacturer and model do not appear on the list, select Have Disk

to install software from a manufacturer-supplied installation diskette.

7. Select the COM port number.
